This online website checker service will show you which of your hyperlinks are broken and will also point at where exactly those bad references reside in your HTML pages! Such a unique feature makes it a very convenient tool for webmasters to find bad URLs and get rid of those in virtually no time.
It's never been so easy to locate and fix broken weblinks!
Only hyperlinks that are really dead are going to be reported. That is somewhat different from other solutions available which mix both good and bad web-links making results hard to comprehend. Also our linking problem finder analyses the site as a whole while keeping track of issues already found/reported, and will never repeat the same invalid URL in the same report again unless you ask about that specifically:)
We all know that not-working hyperlinks are quite annoying for visitors. Moreover, those can cause somewhat real damage!
Due to many links being broken a website can:
With web-site's growth it gets way harder to manage relations between individual webpages and keep track of hyperlinks across all its pages. Unfortunately there are no perfect tools or services for enforcing proper relationship between pages, keeping track of content being moved / renamed / deleted, and updating impacted URLs and HTML tags automatically. As time goes more and more hyperlinks become obsolete, stale, odd, dangling, dead, and simply - broken because they don't bring people to valid resources anymore, and the visitors are going to various HTTP error codes including those 404 (Page Not Found) and Invalid Hostname messages.
Without adequate tools it's pretty much impossible to identify which internal and external (outbound) hyperlinks went bad. Moreover, it's even harder to fix those because for cleaning one needs to know precise location of the dead linking tag in the HTML code: without that you will need to eyeball through thousands tags/lines to find exact HREF (or other subtag) that causes the problem.
That is precisely where our on-line url checker comes to help: it will check your entire site meticulously searching for linking issues, and will detect invalid webpage references on your website telling you where to fix those! For every bad hyperlink found (both internal and outgoing) you will see our Source Inspector screen showing the page source and highlighting the problematic HTML tag with the non-working url, so you can fix the error right away - without loosing time and avoiding any unnecessary efforts. That will allow you to repair your pages very quickly and move on to more interesting things.
We also offer a commercial version of this checker. It removes limitations of the free demo edition. In particular it is able of validating sites of any size (it's not a no-limit one but page limits can be set as high as you need), scan individual sub-folders (URLs with slashes), get results exported in Excel-friendly CSV format, and have automated reports produced for you by scheduled runs.
