63. me.

Come mai
97. nessun giornalista sembra averla considerata?

370. Objective of Phase Effort
371. The main
372. goal of the Phase I project wad to design and build a breadboard
373. prototype of a temporary personnel
374. incapacitation system called MEDUSA
375. (Mob Excess Deterrent Using Silent Audio).
376. This non-lethal weapon is based on the well established microwave
377. auditory effect (MAE). MAE results in a strong sound sensation in the
378. human head when it is irradiated with specifically selected microwave
379. pulses of low energy. Through the combination of pulse parameters and
380. pulse power, it is possible to raise the auditory sensation to the
381. “discomfort” level, deterring personnel from entering a protected
382. perimeter or, if necessary, temporarily incapacitating particular
383. individuals.
384. Potential
385. Applications and Benefits
387.
Potential
388. applications of the MEDUSA
389. system are as a perimeter protection sensor in deterrence systems
390. for industrial and national sites, for use in systems to assist
391. communication with hearing
392. impaired persons, use by law enforcement and military
393. personnel for crowd
394. control and asset
395. protection. The system will:
398. be
399. portable, require low power, have a controllable radius of coverage, be
400. able to switch from crowd to individual coverage, cause a temporarily
401. incapacitating effect, have a low probability of fatality or permanent
